About This Tour

Florida's Wetlands, Up Close

Florida's freshwater wetlands are one of the most biologically active ecosystems in North America — and an airboat is the only way to reach the parts most visitors never see. This tour puts you in the middle of it with a licensed local guide who knows these waterways, the seasonal rhythms of the wildlife, and exactly where to go for real encounters.

Every departure is fully narrated: the ecology of Florida's freshwater systems, alligator behavior and biology, the birds you're seeing, and the pressures facing the Sunshine State's wetlands — education delivered while a six-foot gator slides off a bank ten feet away.

Before You Book

Good Questions

Will we definitely see alligators?
Sightings are very common — our guides specifically run waterways with documented gator activity, and it's rare to go without seeing at least one. But this is wild Florida, not an enclosure, and that's the point.
Is this a good first airboat ride?
It's the best first ride — which is why it's our most-booked tour. One approachable hour, the guide handles everything, and the wildlife keeps every age engaged.
How is this different from the Alligator Tracking Expedition?
This is a broad one-hour introduction to the whole wetland ecosystem. The Alligator Tracking Expedition is a two-hour deep dive routed exclusively through high-density gator territory. If gators are the main event, upgrade.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, a secure hat, sunscreen, and at least a liter of water per person. Hearing protection is provided — avoid loose items that can blow away at speed.
Are children welcome?
Yes — minimum age is 5, with child-sized life jackets and hearing protection provided. The one-hour format is ideal for younger guests.
When should I book?
Tours run by reservation, 7 days a week. Weekends and golden-hour slots fill first — book a few days ahead or call/text 352-587-3422 for same-day availability.
